Tsunami propagation and inundation is a serious problem for communities built-up along coastal rivers. It is often neglected in the research to consider how tsunami propagates and inundates the areas adjacent to a coastal river. In my research, I studies variation of tsunami characteristics such as wave heights, velocities and inundation volumes along converging channels. Physical, analytical and numerical modelling was used to predict tsunami overtopping volumes along the channel. In addition, the application of numerical models needs to be done with caution and expertise to be able to accurately predict these phenomenon.
