Hi! I'm Ananth, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, Australia.

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. I completed my PhD thesis on tsunami propagation in coastal rivers and its impacts. Prior to this, I obtained a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from India’s top-ranked institute for Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) in 2017. Through my current research on the role of hydrodynamics in coral rubble stabilization, I contribute to large scale efforts in restoring Great Barrier Reef (GBR), Australia, which is the world’s largest coral reef system. My research interests include learning and implementing mathematical and analytical techniques along with physical modelling to understand, predict and solve physical processes involved in natural hazards such as tsunami/floods in coastal and river environments; flow-sediment dynamics.

Here you can find out more about the interesting research I do!
